We are a physical people and we NEED physical reminders. They reenforce what we learn and what we understand. Each time we go through the Appointed Times of YHVH, we continue to learn, we continue to grow and we continue to increase in understanding.
The Appointed Times are pictures individually and as a whole. Our Abba reveals all to us and shows us what He is doing. We actively participate in picturing His Plan as we observe the annual cycle that He put in place. Each year, more and more is revealed to us as we get a greater depth of understanding.
It IS important that we keep these appointments. It IS important that we understand what they point to. Our Abba has a plan in place to redeem mankind back to Him. He invites us to take part and to become His People. He puts the choice before us and beckons us to come to Him.
Pesach (Passover) is the beginning of the Plan of YHVH. There is SO much to glean from observing Pesach, but it starts with us being redeemed. We ARE passed over and spared. We are given the opportunity to come to our Abba…the choice is ours to make. We can accept His invitation, or we can continue to go our own way following our own path.
No one forced the children of Israel to mark their homes with the blood of the lamb all those years ago. It was their choice to believe what they were told and then to act on it. It is our choice too…will you choose to be covered by the blood of The Lamb?
5 ‘Let the lamb be a perfect one, a year old male. Take it from the sheep or from the goats. 6 ‘And you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month. Then all the assembly of the congregation of Yisra’ĕl shall kill it between the evenings. 7 ‘And they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it. 8 ‘And they shall eat the flesh on that night, roasted in fire – with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. 9 ‘Do not eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted in fire, its head with its legs and its inward parts. 10 ‘And do not leave of it until morning, and what remains of it until morning you are to burn with fire.
Always, seek the truth…rethink, relearn, return.
